Well hello 2014. I believe 2013 just literally flew by. In two days, I'll be starting my final term in year 2, and in April, I'll be in my final year. And before you know it, BAM! Graduation! And then I'll be embarking on my journey as a staff nurse. No, I don't believe I'm ready for the real world.
I'm interested to see how 2014 is changing my style. For one, I'd like to experiment on colours. Try various colour blocking and various bright and vibrant colours. I also seem to feel like I need to accessorize more. Try to play around with some necklaces and bracelets. And start wearing my various bracelets that seems to be collecting dusts at home.
And lastly, start wearing heels. I've been a fan of heels since I was born. Not kidding. I'd used to be that minah mentel makcik toddler who would wear those really pretty pink high heeled sandals. Now that I've grown up, I definitely need to express my love for heels even more.
In 2014, I need to be more confident of my body. I'm not the type of girl who has really skinny waists and small thighs and I want to embrace that. I want to be that kind of girl, who can still look great without having the worry of being skinny and such. Of course I would want to worry about losing weight and get a flat stomach at some point in my life. But as of right now, I think I would rather worry on making my last years of teenage life a memorable one and my last year in poly a fun one. And of course, then there's the stress of my over achieving self in school. I'd take one step at a time. For now my diploma. I'd rather put in 1001% in that rather than having to worry about what people think about my body.
So to all you fiercely real plus sized girls out there who think that their bodies are not good enough, well, screw them. You are perfect the way you are. Yes, having a great body is fantastic, but I believe in firstly, accepting yourself. If you are able to accept yourself for your flaws, then you're a steady rock. No one can push you around. Plus, I'm positive someone will love you and think you're perfect anyway. So stop pleasing others and start loving yourself.
With love, Hannah xx
